The Worshipful Company of Horners is both an ancient guild and livery company and a modern City Institution. The first historic reference to the Company was recorded in 1284, although the craft of the horner dates from centuries earlier.
We have recently been working with The Horners Company, updating their outdated website to WordPress CMS, with a modern, clean and intuitive design.
The new Livery website is now fully responsive, allowing for easier viewing on desktops, tablets and mobiles alike. We have added several new features, such as well-organised galleries, an events calendar where members can reserve tickets and a private members area within the main site.
The members now benefit from having all of their hidden content in one place, as opposed to logging into a separate website. They can view member only news, events, blog posts, galleries and more. Members can now easily edit their own personal details, view details of other members, view Court & Committee members, and if they’re part of the Court or Committee’s, they can see uploaded minutes and other documents.
The new website for the Horners Company is a vast improvement on their previous website. It has a much lighter design and the pages are more organised. We have managed to incorporate all of their important information into tabs within pages, which transform into drop-down menus on mobile devices.
