Frequently asked questions

What type of projects do you work on?

Our projects vary in size and scope depending on what a business actually needs. Some clients need everything – brand identity, web design and digital marketing. Others already have a brand and just need a great website to go with it. We also work on redesigns, pitch deck design and hosting and support for existing sites.

If you’re not sure what you need, just get in touch. We’re happy to talk it through.

How much should I budget for a new website?

We don’t offer fixed packages and we don’t have a standard price list. Every project is different, so every project is quoted individually. We’re open about costs from the start and prefer to agree a fixed fee with clear milestone payments, no surprises. If you share your brief with us, we will come back with an honest, itemised quote.

How long is it going to take?

A focused web design and build project typically takes 8–12 weeks from kick-off to launch. If the scope includes brand identity work, additional pages, or more complex functionality, timelines extend accordingly, sometimes to 4–6 months for a full brand and web project.

We’ll map out a clear project schedule at the start so you always know what is happening and when. We can also discuss phased approaches if you have a hard deadline to hit.

We have a deadline. Can you work to it?

Yes. If you have a specific launch date in mind, tell us early and we’ll work backwards from it. Once we agree to work together there is usually a short onboarding period of 1 to 2 weeks before the project kicks off, covering contracts, briefing and gathering your existing assets. From there we’ll put together a clear project schedule so everyone knows what’s happening and when.

We are not based in London. Is that a problem?

Not at all. While we’re based in Soho, London, we work with clients across the world. We’re fully set up for remote collaboration and distance has never been a barrier. If it makes sense to meet in person, we’ll make that happen too.

I don’t see much work from my industry in your portfolio.

Our portfolio showcases a selection of our work, but it doesn’t represent everything we’ve done over 20 years. We’ve worked across a wide range of sectors — financial services, property, professional services, arts & tech, healthcare, film, consumer brands and more.

Will my website actually show up on Google?

Every website we build is set up with strong technical SEO foundations – fast load times, clean code, mobile responsiveness, proper heading structure, meta data and correct indexing setup. This gives you the best possible starting point in search.

That said, ranking well on Google over time requires ongoing content and SEO strategy, which is a separate conversation. If you want to go beyond the basics, we offer digital marketing services that can be added alongside or after the build.

What happens after the website goes live?

We host and maintain many of the websites we build and we think this ongoing relationship is an important part of what we offer. Post-launch support covers security updates, performance monitoring, routine maintenance, backups and content updates.

We don’t just hand over a finished site and disappear. For clients who want more active ongoing involvement, whether that is regular design work, digital marketing or growth support, we can put together an ongoing plan that fits your needs.

How many rounds of revisions do we get?

We don’t work to a fixed number of revisions. We share our design work, listen to your feedback and make changes until we get it right. What we do ask is that feedback is consolidated and comes from a single decision-maker where possible. Endless back and forth from multiple stakeholders with conflicting opinions is the one thing that slows projects down.

Do I need to provide the content or can you help with that?

Ideally you’ll provide the copy and content for your site — you know your business best, and search engines reward original, expert-led content. That said, we know not everyone has the time or resource to write it themselves, and poor copy is one of the most common reasons a good-looking website underperforms. We can help with content direction, structure and editing.

Can I update the website myself once it’s built?

Yes. We build on content management systems designed to be straightforward for non-technical users. Once your site is live, we will show you how to update pages, swap images, add blog posts and manage the content you’ll realistically need to change day to day. You won’t need to call us every time you want to tweak a line of copy.

How do we actually get started?

The simplest thing to do is drop us a message at projects@reactivegraphics.co.uk or call us on 02070180909. Tell us a little about your business and what you’re trying to achieve, and we’ll arrange a conversation – no obligation, no hard sell. From there, if it feels like a good fit on both sides, we will put together a detailed proposal and quote based on your brief.

Can we meet face to face?

Yes. We are based in Soho, London but we work with clients everywhere. We are happy to jump on a video call or meet in person, whatever works best for you.

We already have a website. Can you redesign it?

Yes. Redesigns are a big part of what we do. Whether your site looks outdated, isn’t converting visitors or no longer reflects your brand, we can give it a complete overhaul. We’ll look at what you have, keep what works and rebuild the rest.

Will my SEO be affected if I move from my old website to a new one?

When we rebuild or redesign a site we take care of all the technical steps to protect your existing search rankings, including redirects, preserving URL structures where possible and making sure nothing important gets lost in the move.

What information do you need from us to get started?

As much or as little as you have. A brief, your goals, any existing branding and examples of websites you like are a good starting point. If you don’t have everything ready, that’s fine. We’ll guide you through what we need at each stage.

Do you work with startups or only established businesses?

Both. We work with businesses at all stages, from early-stage startups building their first brand and website, to established companies looking to elevate their digital presence. What matters to us is that you’re serious about the work.

Can you help with branding as well as the website?

Yes. Brand identity is one of our core services. We can develop your logo, colours and visual identity from scratch, or refresh an existing brand. A strong brand and a great website work best when they are built together.

Who owns the website once it’s finished?

You do. Once the project is complete and final payment is made, the website belongs to you. That includes the design, the code and all the content. We don’t hold anything back.

How do you handle communication during the project?

We keep things simple. You’ll have a dedicated point of contact throughout and we’ll agree on the best way to communicate at the start, whether that’s email, calls or video meetings. We provide regular updates at each stage so you always know what is happening.

Will the website be accessible to all users, including people with disabilities?

Yes. We build all our websites with accessibility in mind, following WCAG guidelines. This means your site will work for users who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation or other assistive tools. Good accessibility is also good for SEO, so it benefits everyone.
