In just over two and half years Pinterest has become a very popular social network, one that sits comfortably alongside Facebook and Twitter.

It’s a great site to look at and one that you can quite happily spend an hour on, scrolling through the bulletin/pin board design in search of inspiration, illustrations, photographs and recipes etc.

Pinterest’s website design was somewhat revolutionary and has sparked a real trend for grid type layouts; even eBay has adopted the style to an extent.

While Pinterest is obviously a great place to network, share ideas and find inspiration, it’s also a useful tool for marketing your business. It gives you another platform to interact with clients and increases your company’s web presence. Each Pinterest user has their own page or board and this is especially valuable to architects and designers who can use it as a portfolio to link to and from websites.
