Brochure web design – our approach

What approach do we take to building a basic web site, or a brochure web site with no dynamic features? Here’s our step by step guide to make sure our clients’ web sites are built with their business and customers in mind.

This method enables us to achieve sign off at each stage of the build, offers us maximum creativity throughout the web design process and gives the client the opportunity to give feedback as the web site progresses. All web sites are built on a demo server and only transferred to the live environment once we have the ‘thumbs up’ from the client.

Stage 1 – Design briefing to discuss

  • The company’s marketing and business objectives
  • What logo & page designs and colour schemes the organisation prefer taken from similar companies and related web sites
  • What functional requirements the company have

Stage 2 – Design

  • Design look & feel of home page and one secondary page. Design should meet business objectives. Consider use of animation/colour/typeface/branding. Designs are delivered as picture files (e.g. .jpg, .pdf)

Stage 3 – Site build

  • Build the web site from the content and designs agreed in stage 2. The web site can be launched at this stage once all considerations are met.
